One of the most common fertility treatments is the time honored clomiphene citrate or as it was known Clomid. One of the problems with this treatment is that Clomid alone very marginally if at all, increases the chance of getting pregnant. This is the importance of getting Clomid treatment only at a true fertility center where they can add to it Intra Uterine Insemination IUI. Unfortunately, we are also limited by how many cycles of Clomid we can administer right now. There is some very loose association of the possibility of developing ovarian cancer for a woman that had more then six Clomid cycles. Having that in mind it is very important not to waist these Clomid cycles with a regular gynecologist but to sick help right away at a true infertility center.
